My fourth Cracked article dropped today! That’s my last one that was in the can so I have to get back to researching and writing for that purpose.

I climbed on this project because the premise was ‘The Worst Cases of Reality Shows screwing their contestants’. My first contribution was A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila, in which I made the argument that it was pretty messed up that the guy that won the contest never saw Tila after the last take of the show. No phone number, no explanation, just immediately done with him. Cracked decided two people on a reality show not ending up together was not a big enough deal to warrant any reaction.

Second try was Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, where it turned out the contestants were competing over a comedian, advertising himself as a ‘Real Estate Tycoon slash Motivational Speaker’ with a net worth of $200,000 and an arrest record indicated he had assaulted his last spouse. Cracked again was like ‘k? And? It has to be shocking.’

Third try was the Last Comic Standing idea, in which professional comedian Ben Kronberg was screwed over by the editors of Last Comic Standing to make it look like he was bad at comedy. They manipulated his jokes after the fact and cut down audience reaction to make the joke look less successful than it actually was.

Cracked accepted it on first draft.
